Guys, we will (finally) be doing a SoFla DSM/SFME range day!

The date is set for Sunday, April 17th at 11AM. We will be going to:

Shoot Straight
7171 Southern Boulevard
West Palm Beach, FL 33413

This is an indoor range (which means it may be COLD inside!), and is BRAND NEW so it should be quite nice. They have 14 pistol lanes, and 4 rifle lanes. The range fee is $13 per person PLUS ammo! There may be some free ammo available for you to shoot but supplies would be limited so you will need to purchase/bring your own (you can either buy it ahead of time, or purchase it at the range).

NOTE: Shooting ranges require CLOSED TOED SHOES and SLEEVED SHIRTS. If you're bringing your girlfriend, I STRONGLY suggest she NOT wear a nice low cut boob-showing shirt. If she decides to wear something like that anyway, let her know that she will probably go home with burns on her titties from hot brass going down her shirt! She will also probably want a sweater, and you might too!

I have been looking at Sig prices over the last week(window shopping).
About purchasing my first hand gun I will start a new thread.

Buy 'em now, while you can. The election is coming and the frenzy is already pretty well under way.

If this one is anything like 2008, it'll take nearly two years for pricing and availability to get back to "normal".

Also, I should add... It may be better to do our next group outing sooner rather than later. I'm hearing from a lot of the guys I know in the industry that ammo is starting to disappear a-la 2008 (post election) as well.

Combined that with heading towards the latter part of 2012 (which the preppers are sure contains "doomsday" so they're starting to stock up big) and you've got a perfect storm.

In short: bulk 9mm has gone up $35/case (from $190 to $225) since last month.

Damn, I just realized it's been a year since our last shoot! No wonder this got brought back up when it did!

Let me poke around and see what I can come up with range/date wise.

I have an idea for a place, but I'm not sure if it will be available to us or not (it will also be dependent on how many shooters we have).

We'd probably need 10 shooters at a minimum. I think we should be able to get that between "us" and "plus one"s.
